Jason Wanner: What's the Buzz?
-I have to say Jason is one of the most refreshing pianists of our time. His playing is upbeat and very strong. Songs like "Old Man River" and "Willow Weep for Me" are so amazingly executed with such vitality, that it is hard to contemplate the actual age of the songs. His "East German Bounce" made me almost feel what it was like to be sitting on a train, journeying through Europe. Dont forget to really listen to his two originals for which he displays his strong vocal talent -- "It's All Over Now" and the "Jell-o Song". His interpretation of "If I Only had a Brain" is probably the most beautiful version I have ever heard. Whether he is showcasing his talent with old standards or his own originals, "Nature Boy" is NOT to be missed!

-I put this cd in my player at home to listen to it for the first time, and sat down to do some work, thinking it would be good background music. By the third song, I had completely pushed aside my work and just sat, listening intently to the rest of the CD. Here you will find rare, wonderful musicianship, and a collection of songs that is full of surprises. Oh, and be prepared to fall in love with Jason once you hear his voice.... he's got the cool-cat-who's-heart-may-get-broken-but-who-still-can-laugh-at-himself thing going on. He's gathered an A-list group to back him up, too. This'll be in my CD player for a long time.

-I enjoyed all the tracks on Jason's C.D. but my favourite is Old Man River. When I reach track 5 I just drop everything, lie back and listen. It's been well worth waiting for and I hope Jason follows on with many more albums. He now has a fan club in Scotland!

-Jason Wanner has produced a musical treasure in his Nature Boy CD. He has succeeded in displaying his musical sophistication, talent, and virtuosity. His pieces are tastefully selected, and his performance of them is generous, playful, and masterful. His interpretations honor the work of Jerome Kern, Scott Joplin, Harold Arlin, Billy Strayhorn, and Duke Ellington. His renditions of his own original songs are touching. This CD begs to be replayed and shared with others.

The CD reflects the multi-talented artist who is a delight to see in person. The CD was well mastered and the selection of songs very pleasing. Looking forward to the next CD.

We have thoroughly enjoyed every song on this new CD. Old Man River is so emotional. This ability to put so much emotion into his music is what sets him apart from other pianists. We have been privileged to watch his career grow.

This CD ranks among my all time favorites. Jason Wanner has shared his own meaningful lyrics among a variety of well chosen song selections. If I Only Had a Brain, Chelsea Bridge, In a Mist, Cottontail - these tunes one seldom hears. Jason's piano virtuosity has made every tune memorable. His own writing and singing add a pleasant signature to an already masterful piece of piano artistry.
